Getting Started

Welcome to Bulwark, an advanced Discord security bot built to protect your server from raids, malicious links, suspicious accounts, spam, and moderation threats.

This guide will help you invite Bulwark, run the setup wizard, configure logging, and enable your first protection modules.

Requirements

Before setting up Bulwark, make sure:

  • You have Manage Server permission.
  • Bulwark has permission to manage roles and channels.
  • Bulwark’s role is above the roles it needs to assign or remove.
  • Your server has a channel where setup commands can be used.

Invite Bulwark

Invite Bulwark using the bot invite link or run:

Recommended permissions:

Manage Roles
Manage Channels
Manage Messages
Moderate Members
Kick Members
Ban Members
View Audit Log
Send Messages
Embed Links
Read Message History
Use Slash Commands

TIP

For the easiest setup, invite Bulwark with Administrator permissions.

For most servers, use:

/setup

witch will make a category called "Bulwark" in your server.
amd make two channels in the category:
called "Bulwark Logs"
called "Bulwark Security Logs"

This gives your server basic raid protection, link protection, member scanning, and verification.

Troubleshooting

Slash commands are not showing

Try reinviting Bulwark or redeploying commands.


Bulwark cannot assign roles

Move Bulwark’s role above the verified and unverified roles.

Verification does not work

Check:

Verification is enabled Verified role ID is correct Unverified role ID is correct Bulwark can manage both roles The verification message was deployed Logs are not sending

Check:

Log channel IDs are saved Bulwark can view and send messages in the log channels The module is enabled
